The beach house

The beach house, with its minimalist design, is deliberately stripped back, with high ceilings and expansive joinery allowing you to fully open the space to the garden, creating a sense of oneness between indoor and outdoor. Inspired by Omaha's iconic boardwalks, the design features an internal boardwalk that extends from the front entrance through to the rear garden. Concrete floors reinforce the connection to sand and earth, grounding the home in its coastal surroundings.

The rear garden, lush with tropical plantings reminiscent of Bali, creates a serene escape, while a sheltered central courtyard offers a second entertaining area. Generous open-plan living area, with exposed beams and large stacker doors, enhances the relaxed, unhurried ambiance of holiday living.

Three well-appointed bedrooms and a tiled bathroom provide comfort and convenience. The garage has been cleverly transformed and is currently utilised as the fourth bedroom with powder room, with the adjoining zone currently set up as a yoga studio.

A side garden gate opens to a beach path which guides you directly to the golden sands of Omaha Beach. After a day by the water, an outdoor shower connects to the spacious laundry room, with a storage shed alongside for all your beach essentials.

Despite its tranquil, laid-back atmosphere, the easy connection to Auckland ensures this is an accessible holiday home, perfect for weekend getaways year-round. It offers the ideal balance of retreat and convenience.
