Communication is critical.
Kellie Hodson credits her communication and time management skills to 20 years in customer service, office management, administration and property management. “I firmly believe that communication is critical for landlords who have trusted me to look after their investment, and for tenants, as the property we manage is their home.”
Kellie manages a boutique portfolio of around 74 properties across all areas of New Plymouth, her local knowledge an asset to her role. She is very particular, considers attention to detail important and is always willing to go the extra distance for both her landlords and tenants.
She appreciates the excellent resources Bayleys provides for their property management teams, especially important when the industry is undergoing many changes with the Health and Safety, amendments to the Residential Tenancy Act, the implementation of the Healthy Homes Bill and all the resulting compliance required by rental property owners and managers.
Bayleys offers ongoing internal training and outsources experts to keep their teams current with rental legislation. “The knowledge Bayleys equips us with keeps our landlords safe.”
Kellie draws on her personal experience as a landlord and has always maintained an interest in the local property and rental market. She thrives on the multi-tasking the job requires and enjoys the satisfaction derived from providing a service her clients appreciate.
Her personal passions include photography, genealogy and travel. As her professional passion is property management, landlords can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from placing their property with a manager who loves her job and gives it one hundred percent.
